review: Resident Evil / Afterlife

I usually don’t go that much to Kuwait cinema due to the horrible censorship that kills all buzz in a film, but the other day for the sake of my friends and because im a big fan of Resident Evil i went to watch the film in 360 mall in Digital 3D (NOT IMAX DIGITAL).

I prepared my self for a big disappointment because of 3 reasons: (1) Censorship (2) Digital 3D (3) I’ve seen the trailer and Milla Jovovich looked old.

Even so, it was a bigger disappointment. True Milla Jovovich is getting old, but she still a sexy fox that kick ass but not as elegantly as before.

The film story was trite and fighting choreography was way over the top and too much, it looked like we wear watching Indian film old Indian film, as a fan i didn’t like the film that much.

Then there was some censored scenes and one of the characters died all of sudden without knowing how because they deleted the whole scene.

And the final straw was DIGITAL 3D. 3D is not the way you should watch a full feature movie it’s good for video games, short film and maybe porn just kidding, but really 3D is not a good way to watch a film.

As for the DIGITAL Projectors, the picture has no contrast nor brightness and the colors was so faint the whole film, it was real bad image quality.

Plot> In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap. Written by Screen Gems
